I grew up with Star Wars, and I am a huge fan. I always wanted a Stormtrooper helmet of my own. This is the collection of papercraft files that goes with that wish.
Archived project
The GitHub repository for this project is archived: it is read-only and no longer updated. What follows describes the project as it was, so check for a newer alternative before you build it.
The helmet
The heart of the collection is the Stormtrooper helmet, the First Order version. It is in the repository twice: as a Pepakura file, Helmet (SW7).pdo, in the Stormtrooper armour folder, and as a printable PDF, First Order Storm trooper helmet_resized_A4.pdf, resized to fit A4 paper.
The helmet is only the start. The same folder holds the whole set of armour, so a helmet can grow into a full costume.
I built the models myself, from paper and wood glue.
What Pepakura is
Pepakura is papercraft: a 3D model is unfolded into flat pieces that you print, cut out, fold and glue together, until you have the shape in paper. The .pdo files in this repository are the files that Pepakura Designer, the program that does the unfolding, opens. A PDO gives you the printable pattern, and from there it is scissors, folds and glue.
The Stormtrooper armour
The folder called Star Wars 7 – Stormtrooper Armour Complete has a file for each part of the armour, and one for the whole set:

- This is a fan project. Star Wars, the Stormtrooper and the other characters and designs belong to their owners, and this page is not connected to them.
- The repository has no README and no licence, and it does not say who designed the models. If you know the original designers, credit them when you share your build.
- The repository dates from early 2016. It was created on 27 January 2016 and last updated on 18 February 2016, with a change called “Resized”.
