Some projects are born out of necessity. The Apple TV is a sleek and compact streaming device, but once again, Apple didn’t think about how you actually place it in your setup. Most people just let it sit next to the TV, cables dangling around, or worse, stuck with tape or Velcro behind the screen. That wasn’t really my style – so I designed a proper Apple TV Wall Mount.

Why a Wall Mount?
The Apple TV deserves better than lying around collecting dust. Mounting it neatly behind your television or on the wall not only saves space but also keeps your media setup clean and organized.
By giving the Apple TV a fixed spot, you avoid cable clutter, reduce the risk of it being knocked over, and create a much more professional-looking installation.
The Design Process
Just like with my other 3D printable projects, I designed the holder using the free version of Autodesk Fusion 360. This allowed me to precisely model the Apple TV’s dimensions and create a mount that holds it firmly, but still makes it easy to remove when needed.
After finishing the design, I sliced the model with Ultimaker Cura and printed it on my Ender 3 V2. The result was a strong and lightweight mount that fits perfectly and can be printed in just a couple of hours using standard PLA.
The Holder
The design is minimal, functional, and blends nicely with any setup. It holds the Apple TV securely in place, while leaving enough space around it for ventilation – something important, since these little boxes can get warm.
Installation is straightforward:
- Print the mount.
- Screw it to the wall, the back of your TV, or even your TV cabinet.
- Slide in your Apple TV.
Done! No more messy cables or loose devices sliding around.

Still Useful Today
Although this is one of my older projects, it still attracts a lot of downloads and positive feedback. Many users like how simple and effective the design is, and it’s always fun to see photos of how people have integrated it into their home setups. It’s a great example of how 3D printing can be used to create small, practical solutions that make everyday tech more enjoyable.

Conclusion
Sometimes, the best solutions are the simplest ones. The Apple TV Holder is a great example: designed in Fusion 360, sliced in Cura, and printed on an Ender 3 V2. It turns a small annoyance – a loose streaming box – into a clean, permanent setup that looks great and just works.
